The Walls Have a Cleaning Party!
From the moment we received our Green & Healthy Home Kit, I was super excited about eliminating all our other cleaners. I immediately went through and replaced what we were using, and started collecting things from around the house. I used both the boxes that my Kit came in to collect my old products in, but there wasn't enough room. By the time we finished, there were 5 boxes of old products piled in my garage; waiting for our picture with them so we could finish the purge.
When Picture Day came, we took everything out to our front porch to lay it out on a table. As soon as we started setting everything out and arranging it on the table, one of our neighbors sent their little boy over to ask if we were selling the products. I told them, "No, we're getting rid of them because we got something way better. When we're done with taking the picture, you can take any of them you want for free. Otherwise, they will be thrown away." His mom didn't believe him, so she came over to ask for herself. Two of our other neighbors came out to ask the same thing!
After posing for our pictures and saying farewell, we let the neighbors know that we were done! They came over, seeming uncomfortable taking things for free (maybe I should have charged 10 cents a bottle to make it easier), so they would take a few items and go home.. Only to return a few minutes later to ask if they could have some more. Each person who came to take away some of our old products asked about the new ones we were using to replace them. I was able to tell them about the Green & Healthy difference and even gave them each a small sample of one of the safe cleaners to try. They all seemed amazed.
At the end of the day, it felt wonderful! The purge was complete! No longer were we harboring poisonous disasters-in-waiting within our loving home. We were able to give all our old products away and share the new products with our neighbors. We told them all about www.MollysGift.org so they could apply to get a Green & Healthy Home Makeover too! They all seemed startled and amazed and were grateful to learn about the green, healthy products we received. I feel as if a weight had been lifted off my shoulders; such a blessing!

"We have always tried to live in a more environmentally friendly manner. We eat local and organic foods, use earth friendly equipment on our home (such as a tankless hot water heater, recycled building materials, etc.) and have chosen to live/work in a place where we can do minimal driving. We have two young children and are concerned both about our impact on the environment and it's impact on us.
This past year, my partner was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer at the age of 41. Other than begin a woman, she has no known risk factors. We know the world has become more and more toxic, but to 'experience' this in such a deep threatening manner, makes us even more motivated to protect the health of our family and others. We are in the process of cleaning all the chemicals out of our house and are looking for ways to properly maintain our house without hurting those who live here."
Meet the Casey Family
Martinez, California
Wes was diagnosed with sinus cancer in July of 2005. This led to a 10 hour surgery by two surgeons to remove the tumor from his sinus, nose, next to his eye sockets and back to the brain.
He has had on going medical problems because of the strokes he suffered after the first surgery. There was no cancer in his family and he was a very healthy and fit 48 year old man who worked out six days a week and loved to surf and mountain bike.
Since Wes' diagnosis, I have stayed home to care for him. We've gone organic with our eating and have added supplements but the cleaning products have haunted me. I've switched to some of the more environmentally friendly products I've found in stores but Molly's Gift is an answer to prayer!
